Digital Tools for Solar Thermal Plant Monitoring

Make use of digitalization to improve the performance of solar thermals plants!

The workshop gives an overview of digital tools and open-source software for monitoring of large-scale solar thermal plants, based on the newly developed handbook “Digital Tools for Solar Thermal Plant Monitoring”. This handbook is currently being compiled by AEE INTEC within the digital innovation hub competence network DIH Süd and will be made freely available to the public after the workshop.

Additionally, the SunPeek open-source software for solar thermal plant monitoring (https://sunpeek.org/) will be presented with a live demo. This software is designed for performance monitoring and guarantee procedures of large-scale solar thermal plants and contains the first open-source implementation of the performance check for the power output according to ISO 24194:2022 (Power Check).

The workshop gives an introduction to SunPeek for new users, and offers additional in-depth training and a Q&A session for experienced users.

The workshop is conducted in collaboration with the “Applied CPS” project of the European Digital Innovation Hub. To register, please go to: www.applied-cps.at/event_kalender/digital-tools-for-solar-thermal-plant-monitoring/
